  • Neil Young - Ordinary People Part 1

In a dusty town a clock struck high noon, Two men stood face to face. One wore black and one wore white, But of fear there wasn't a trace. Two hundred years later two hot rods drag race through the very same place, And a half a million people, moved in to pick up the pace. A factory full of people, Makin' parts to go to outer space. A train load of people, They were aimin' for another place. Out of town people. There's a man in the window with a big cigar, Says everything's for sale. The house and the boat and the railroad car. The owner's gotta go to jail. He acquired these things from a life of crime, Now he's selling them to raise his bail. He was rippin' off the people. Sellin' guns to the underground. Tryin' to help the people, Lose their ass for a piece...

Tryin' to help the people, Lose their ass for a piece of ground. Rippin' off the people. Skimmin' the top when there was no one around. Tryin' to help the people. He was dealing antiques in a hardware store, But he sure had a lot to hide. He had a backroom full of the guns of war, And a ton of ammunition besides. Well, he walked with a cane, Kept a bolt on the door with five pit bulls inside. Just a warning to the people, Who might try to break in at night. Protection from the people, Selling safety in the darkest night. Tryin' to help the people. Get the drugs to the street all right. Ordinary people. Well, it's hard to say where a man goes wrong, Might be here and it might be there. What starts out weak might get too strong, If you can't tell foul from fair. But it's hard to judge from an angry throng, Of hands stretched into the air. The vigilante people. Takin' law into their own hands. Conscientious people. Crackin' down on the druglord's land. Government people. Confiscatin' all the dealer's land. Patch-of-ground people. Down at the factory, they're puttin' new windows in. The vandals made a mess of things, And the homeless just walked right in. Well, they worked here once, and they live here now, But they might work here again, They're ordinary people. And they're livin' in a nightmare. Hard workin' people. And they don't know how they got there. Ordinary people. And they think that you don't care. Hard workin' people. Down on the assembly line, they keep puttin' the same thing out. But the people today, they just ain't buyin'. Nobody can figure it out. Well, they try like hell to build a quality end, They're workin' hard without a doubt, They're ordinary people. And the dollar's what it's all about. Hard workin' people. But the customers are walkin' out. Lee Iacocca people. Yeah, they look but they just don't buy. Hard workin' people. Two out of work models and a fashion slave, Try to dance away the Michelob night. The bartender poured himself another drink, While two drunks sat watchin' the fight. The champ went down, then he got up again, And then he went out like a light. He was fightin' for the people, But his timing wasn't right. For Las Vegas people, Who came to see a Las Vegas fight. High rollin' people, Takin' limos though the neon night. Fightin' for the people. And then a new Rolls Royce and a company car, They went flyin' down the street. Each one tryin' to make it to the gate, Before employees manned the fleet. The trucks full of products for the modern home, Set to roll out into the street, Of downtown people, Tryin' to make their way to work. Nose-to-the-stone people, Some are saints, and some are jerks. Hard workin' people, Stoppin' for a drink on the way to work. Alcoholic people, Yeah, they're takin' it one day, one day at a time. Out on the railroad track, they're cleanin' up number 9. They're scrubbin' the boiler down, well, she really is lookin' fine. Ah, she's lookin' so good, they're gonna bring her back on line. Ordinary people. They're gonna bring the good things back. Nose-to-the stone people. Put the business back on track. Ordinary people, I got faith in the regular kind. Hard workin' people. Patch-of-ground people. I do not own Neil Young music and this is for entertainment purposes.

There are tapers on the market where you can prepare a wood arrow for a nock or point but there are only a few that can be used with a drilling machine. The idea behind the Power Taper Set from Arrow-Fix is offering a high quality and valuable tool which is intended for a professional application and is affordable also. The Power Taper should also be successful as the Arrow-Fix which has in the meantime become successful world wide on every continent with enormous satisfaction. That means that you should have the choice, only the options to purchase that you really need without being required to pay for the other unnecessary options. In response to that, you should have the possibility to acquire ready available components such as attachments to extend its capabilities. This is taken into consideration with the the Taper tool. The sharpening blades of the Arrow-Fix are 100% useable with the Power Taper. The new centering socket of the Arrow-Fix tool is also interchangeable with the Power Taper, that saves cost. The previous centering socket of the Arrow-Fix tool can be attached to the Power Taper through a minor modification. If you wish, we will without cost make the modification which does not include the shipping costs. If you already have an Arrow-Fix tool, you can buy the Power Taper without a centering socket and use the centering sleeve of the Arrow-Fix tool. The two functions of the sharpener have been separated onto two tools in order to maintain a size that is easily handled. This will assure safety so that the Taper Tool for nocks is independent from the Taper Tool for points without requiring the breakdown and rebuilding of the professional operation. Exactly as we have allowed and committed too, you can select from many variations: Power Taper for the nock without a centering socket for application when one is already available Power Taper for the point without a centering socket for application when one is already available Power Taper for the nock / point with one or more stainless steel centering sockets Power Taper for nock and point in a set with one or more stainless steel centering sockets The centering socket for the Power Taper will be exclusively offered out of stainless steel, at the request that the machine insert and various grades of hardwood would be able to correctly done. The centering socket made out of Aluminum leaves behind black marks on the wood shaft. The reason is the percentage of lead in the Aluminum composite of the part. The lead serves as a lubricant from the machining of the Aluminum and with the rubbing stress with the wood, dark tracks are left. This can be removed easily with steel wool, respectively emery cloth. You will be spared this problem by using the stainless steel centering socket because it does not have lead and therefore leaves no marks. With the application of the Power Taper lets you fabricate in fractions of seconds the cone for the point or nock. The proven quality of the blades and there fantastic cutting abilities guarantees a long durability also with hardwoods or Bamboo. www.Arrow-Fix.com

You too can find vintage treasures at recycling & scrap yards at garage sale prices or much less. Here are mine that I'm going to knock the rust off of and this was all for only $50! This hobby is not just that but also a fun, purposeful investment strategy that saves me from paying full price on future purchases that are often inferior quality. After restoration, these vintage DIY finds will be put to their use or can be Sold (depending on income or needs). Also these vintage tools, kitchenware or decor items can be utilized for gifting or bartering purposes....all an income producing or preserving investment strategy! I'm about 3 years away from retiring from the "9 to 5" rat race before homesteading full time. Theses old tools, kitchenware items hold their monetary value very well over time and often increase. Just go to an antique store or eBay to see! Not to hoard, but owning several of a tool is not too far fetch when homesteading. It's insurance and makes good sense when you use these tools just to live. These are also tangible items and can't be removed by a glitch on a computer or by a online failure. Happy hunting, don't be a hoarder and stay humble folks. Good luck! About my channel: Homesteading begins somewhere. For me, that place is here learning from other's YouTube videos, in books, and on my newly acquired property in the Pacific Northwest. My endeavors I hope inspire you to live more efficiently for our future's sake. Since 2012, I've been vigorously planning, acquiring tools, identifying DIY projects and knowledge, honing daily habits towards a more minimalist approach, while transitioning to a more self-reliant lifestyle free of mortgages, debt, utility bills, potential job lay-offs, dependency on broken systems and services, removal from mass addiction to instant gratification and self-entitlement, high taxes, excess consumerism behavior, while trying to embrace relationships more with neighbors, family/friends, one's self, and the great wilderness around me. My goal is to find contentment with labor, get healthier in the process, and pursue a more meaningful and happier independent lifestyle. For those who are seriously interested, this channel is a forum for learning better, alternative ways of doing things old and new that we can all apply that have been forgotten about or sadly ignored by the masses of our society. Channels and videos of this genre will hopefully continue to wake the masses up from their deep slumbers of complacency. Here I am documenting the beginning of my own self-sufficient lifestyle change, the construction progress on my homestead property, self-sustaining systems, gardening, DIY projects and woodland management. I hope you enjoy. Please consider and safeguard your own prosperity, contentment and independence that will follow you the rest of your lifetime by taking steps towards a self-reliant living. Making any significant or complete drift towards self-sufficiency is certain to increase you/your family's survivability of abrupt changes to economic downturns, income loss, natural or weather disasters, or spikes in the costs or cuts in local and federal services, loss of healthcare or goods that can otherwise be provided by ourselves when armed with the right knowledge, resources and determination... with a few exceptions. To remove our dependency on excess consumption of goods, services and food, is a re-shift of focus on life's truly important things: Necessities; Bettering ourselves, relationships of family and friends, having more time for all of these things, learning useful skills, improving our health, not being in-debt to others, conservation and preservation of our very own piece of land and purposed resources or tools, owning and living in a long-term efficient shelter, constant sustenance, water, electricity, sanitation disposal, and time for improving upon all these things. I wish the very best for all of you here and hope you make the steps towards living a richer, happier life of independence than from the inefficient, take-for-granted, cookie-cutter lifestyle most live today. If you just follow the channel for entertainment purposes or don't end up going fully off grid, that's perfectly ok too, I am human and not perfect so Ill apologize in advance if I say or write the wrong thing or don't reply to the comments often. Hope this channel helps some people!

Repainting a Storm lure that has served me well. I would not have painted the bill part of this lure, but because it was in poor condition I thought it would just look better with fresh paint. I am happy with the way this lure turned out.
